Maria KivijärviThe idea for the Magisso Cake Server came to Maria’s mind while sitting and drawing on lake Näsijärvi rocks on a sunny day. The same lake rocks are still her favorite “office”. – Eventhough functional and innovative designing has recently been a trend in kitchen utensils and tableware, the basic idea of a cake server hasn’t changed. I started deliberately to search a completely new functionality and appearance for the cake server, Maria describes. |

Miika MansikkamaaThe first patented Magisso product – the Magnetic Kitchen Cloth Holder – was invented in 2006 by the CEO of Magisso Ltd. Miika Mansikkamaa. Miika Mansikkamaa – a home decoration enthusiast – hated the fact that he was using his design faucet as a kitchen cloth holder. Furthermore, the cloth was always in the way or simply nowhere to be found, when you would need it. The idea of using two magnets came up to Miika Mansikkamaa, when he was performing the good old party trick of moving a matchbox on the table without touching it. Then he realized, that this was the way to do it. |
